SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Testing utilizes cutting-edge technology to analyze fetal DNA, allowing parents to determine their baby’s gender quickly and accurately. Here’s a closer look at how the process unfolds:
DNA Collection Method
SneakPeek offers a convenient method for DNA collection:
SneakPeek Snap: This is an innovative, pain-free blood collection system available at participating labs like ours. A small device collects a few drops of blood from your arm with minimal discomfort.
DNA Samples and Genetic Material Analysis
Once the sample reaches our lab, it is analyzed for Y chromosomes, which indicate male DNA. If no Y chromosomes are detected, the baby is likely female.
Fastest Turnaround Time
We pride ourselves on offering some of the fastest results in the industry. For blood samples collected at the lab, results are typically available within 1–2 days.
SneakPeek Labs
All samples are processed in highly secure and specialized facilities. SneakPeek Labs follows strict quality control protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results.
The science behind SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Testing is robust, backed by years of research and clinical studies. Let’s explore the data that underscores its accuracy and reliability.
Multicenter Blinded Study (2015)
A pivotal study conducted in 2015 by Gateway Genomics assessed the accuracy of SneakPeek’s fetal sex determination method. This multicenter-blinded study analyzed blood samples from pregnant women, detecting fetal sex with a remarkable 99.9% accuracy as early as eight weeks of gestation.
Noninvasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT)
SneakPeek’s method is based on principles of noninvasive prenatal testing. In this technique, DNA fragments from the baby, called cell-free fetal DNA, are identified in the mother’s blood. This technique eliminates the risks associated with invasive procedures like amniocentesis.
Ultrasound Clinics vs. SneakPeek
Ultrasound clinics typically determine fetal sex between 16–20 weeks of pregnancy. Compared to this, our SneakPeek test provides results at a much earlier stage, allowing parents to plan and bond sooner.
Fetal Sex Determination
SneakPeek tests detect Y chromosomes to identify male DNA. If no Y chromosomes are found, the test confirms that the baby is female.
Gestation Requirements
The test is effective starting at 6 weeks of pregnancy, which is earlier than most other gender determination methods.
