What does a lipid panel measure?
A lipid panel measures blood fats, including cholesterol and triglycerides. Results commonly include total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. Your healthcare professional can interpret the results alongside your health history and other risk factors.
Collection and laboratory processing
Smart Labs Now collects blood and other specimens using the collection protocols for the requested test, then sends samples to the appropriate partner laboratory for processing. Laboratory results should be discussed with your healthcare professional.
Do I need to fast for a lipid panel?
Some lipid tests require fasting and others do not. Follow the instructions for your specific order. Contact our team before collection to confirm the preparation requirements.
Can I purchase a lipid panel without a CBC?
Yes. The individual lipid panel is $49. A CBC is also available separately for $49. Combined panels are different products; confirm their included tests and price before booking.
When will I receive results?
Timing depends on the requested test and partner laboratory processing. Ask our team for an estimate; an estimated turnaround is not a guarantee.
